ABOUT ME

Passionate About Education

Hey Guys :)

I'm Tash. Here is my story...

From a really young age I enjoyed playing teacher. I even used to make my sister and her friends play with me. I made worksheets for them, used cooler boxes as tables and marked their work. Teaching was an obvious choice for me and I have learned so much from it.

In my first year of teaching I was completely thrown in the deep end - my friend and I were left to run a grade all on our own, however, we made it, and did a great job. The templates created are still used there today and have been adopted in many of the other grades.

After a few years in the Foundation Phase I decided to challenge myself more and moved onto Intersen Phase teaching (Grade 4 - 7). It was completely different but having the foundation phase experience helped me adapt my teaching and get the basics right with my classes so we could build on. Since then I have been Head of Department of thinking skills, which focused on creating dynamic lessons to promote critical thinking, setting up assessments and running basic courses to help teachers gain a better understanding of helping children think out the box.

I have spent a few years mentoring newbies to the industry, helping them settle down and gain control of their classes. I actually really enjoyed having someone to help and teach all my tips and tricks to. This lead me to creating the course modules I have now. They are sure ways to equip you as a new teacher in the classroom with some basic yet fail safe skills. Let me share my tips and tricks with you too.
